About Pause Places
Connecting People, Nature, and Community
Pause Places are thoughtfully designed spaces created to inspire moments of rest, reflection, and connection.
Nestled in the stunning Waratah-Wynyard municipality, these inviting spots are crafted from locally sourced materials, including timber logs, rocks, and native plants.
Pause Places are more than just physical spaces—they’re a product of collaboration and creativity.
Local artisans have shaped each location with care, using sustainable materials that reflect the natural beauty of the region.
Community input has played a vital role in the design process, ensuring each space is accessible, welcoming, and meaningful to those who visit.
Our Mission
At the heart of Pause Places is a commitment to enhancing community well-being. Funded by the Healthy Focus Grant from the Department of Health and supported by the Cradle Coast Authority and Waratah-Wynyard Council, the project aims to create spaces where people can relax, recharge, and reconnect with the natural world.
Whether you’re meeting friends, watching the world go by, or simply taking a moment for yourself, Pause Places offer a haven of calm and mindfulness.
